Meet our own Komba Kihamia...

My name is Komba James Kihamia. I was born in 28 August 1983 at Mwanza City at Bugando Hospital. Since 1983 I lived with mother and I couldn't know my father because I didn’t meet him. I lived with mother until she die in 1990. So then, in 1990 I started new life to live with grandfather who married two wives. My life was difficult and badly because I was tired with the life of doing a lot of work.

In 1992 I was taken by my grandmother. She live with me in Arusha but my life was still badly because my uncle is beat me even when I am doing small mistake. So, the idea which I made in my head is that my life was going bad and most of time I afraid. My decision is to run away and live the life of street children.

I start live as street children in 29 December 1992 at Moshi town. My life was bad because of no food, clothes and also beating by police. I live at street life for 4 years before meeting with Kate. When Mkombozi start in 1997, I start there and I get better because of good and nice teacher there called Lukas.

My idea was to start primary school after 1 year at Mkombozi. I started "Standard V" to "Standard VII" and I passed. I going secondary school at 2001 up to 2004, when I finished "Form IV" and my result was not bad, but is average. I was learning computer at Uhuru Hostel (in Moshi) and Mkombozi it provided job for me. Now I am a technician (at Mkombozi’s ACTT). I living by myself and buying food and clothes. 

Mkombozi is give me power for development. My God be with me and Mkombozi.
